While researchers are unable to legally starting tests for cannabinoids versus the COVID-19 specifically, cannabis’ medical properties are expected to either harm or help someone trying to avoid or are battling the SARS-CoV-2.
There isn’t much evidence suggesting the prevention of COVID-19 by cannabis.
Instead, smoking cannabis can increase the consumer’s susceptibility to infection. A UCLA professor, Dr. Donald Tashkin, has extensively studied the effects of cannabis on lungs and has previously found evidence, that symptoms of bronchitis such as inflammation in the lungs, coughing, and phlegm production, was increased temporarily by smoking cannabis. Although the effects were less severe in comparison to those found for tobacco, smoking anything would likely increase the risk, according to a statement by Tashkin to the Los Angeles Times, in April. However, for medical cannabis users, other forms of consumption exist.
Cannabis is known for its ability to reduce certain comorbidities of the coronavirus. Conditions like diabetes and obesity can further complicate the coronavirus, and a reduced incidence of both is associated with cannabis.
Furthermore, reduction of the use of alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs which can potentially complicate the coronavirus, is helped by cannabis. Although there is no evidence that cannabis can cure the coronavirus, its disease-prevention benefits show potential for helping rather than harming the progression of coronavirus.
One of the main benefits is its ability to bring down inflammation. According to researchers studying the coronavirus, a huge number of deadly cases of later-stage COVID-19 is an overactive immune response called a cytokine storm, which causes so much inflammation that it leads to the damage of the host’s own body and hence causes death.
A class of drugs called IL-6 cytokine inhibitors is what the researchers are looking at. CBD and THC both can inhibit IL-6, suggesting that they have potential in helping bring down these life-threatening cytokine storms.
However, researchers caution the assumption of cannabis as a treatment. According to cannabis researcher Dr. Sue Sisley, despite the known anti-inflammatory action of cannabis, it is not fully understood how to harness that, especially when treating this specific illness. However, she believes that the anti-inflammatory effects are worth looking into further, focusing on both cannabis flower and cannabis root.
Cannabis has also shown antiviral effects, with the reduction of viral infection with HIV in simian experiments. However, experts believe that cannabis’ antiviral effects would be unlikely to help with coronavirus. According to Dr. Grinspoon, cannabis is not an antiviral medication and is not used to treat viruses, but rather its symptoms.
Cannabis has shown potential in helping with the damage of coronavirus due to its ability to reduce oxidative stress, which is a key component of COVID-19 injury to vital organs like heart or brain. Moreover, few cannabinoids are patented for it.
These properties could explain why patients with THC in their system, are more likely to survive a trip to the ER for heart issues that include atrial fibrillation and myocardial infarction – both complications are found in severe cases of COVID-19.
Despite the potentially positive benefits of cannabis, cannabis researchers and doctors continue to advise caution before the assumption that cannabis will help.
According to Dr. Grinspoon, people who are pro-cannabis will like to believe that it will help, while people who are anti-cannabis will like to believe that it will harm. However, there is not enough data on this new virus to support either way for cannabis, Dr. Grinspoon added. Furthermore, Dr. Sue Sisley suggests further research into the anti-inflammatory properties of cannabis. Until the study of cannabis is legalized for scientists, as it is used by consumers, its impact on coronavirus can be hard to depict.

Good news for Sciatica patients: CBD oil relieves the pain
The recent studies on CBD oil have unfolded its utility in various fields of medicine. Researches on the effects of CBD oil on sciatica patients show that they can prove to be very useful in its treatment. The results have shown that the oil can work wonders to alleviate the Sciatica pain.
What is Sciatica?
Sciatica is a severe pain caused by disruption in the sciatica nerve. Anything that disturbs the nerve results in extreme and sometimes, unbearable pain.
Sciatica is a nerve that starts at the lower back and extends through the hips and legs to the toes. It sends messages from the brain to the legs via spinal cord. Since, it is a long nerve, patients usually complain of the pain at the lower back, hips, legs and heels.
A compression on the Sciatica causes this severe pain. The major causes of compression are a herniated disk, bone spur on the spine or narrowing of the spine.
What is CBD oil
CBD (Cannabidiol) is a chemical compound that is derived from the Marijuana plant. It relieves the pain without causing any psychoactive or mind-altering effects. CBD oil is made by extracting CBD powder from the marijuana plant. Coconut or olive oil is mixed in it for better application.
The recent researches on CBD oil have revealed its anti-seizure, neuroprotective and pain relieving properties. Due to its wondrous effects on human body, many celebrities advocate for CBD.
Utility of CBD oil for Sciatica patients
CBD oil works by increasing the number of pain modulators that stimulate a response to the pain. Our mind has cannabinoid receptors that modulate the pathways that stimulate a response to the pain and negative emotions.
As sciatica pain arises, the CBD oil applied on the respective part works to reach the brain in order to stimulate a faster response to the pain.
While the Sciatica is a very painful condition, it is mostly treatable with medicines. However, most pain relievers have side effects that cause harm in the long run. In contrast, CBD oil works naturally to enhance the receptors with minimum side effects.
Best CBD oil to relieve Sciatica
Every person’s reaction to different types of CBD oil varies from the other. One cannot say with surety, since what works for some might not work for the others. This is primarily because every person has a different set of genetics, general health and tolerance.
Natural and organic remedies take time to show their reaction. While CBD takes some time to relieve the pain, it is undoubtedly one of the harmless ways to do so.
CBD oil works best when used with the consultation of a doctor. Before buying, one should make sure that the oil contains laboratory verified ingredients.
Who owns the Suspicious Marijuana Farm Near Middleton Home?
The Police discovered a Marijuana Farm near Kate Middleton’s family home in Buckleberry in Berkshire. A power outage led to the discovery of the illegal farming of marijuana right next to Middleton’s 18 acrea estate, on Thursday.
The Middleton Estate
Kate Middleton’s parents, Carole and Michael Middleton, own a £4.7 million Grade II Manor house in Buckleberry in Berkshire. The purchased this property back in 2012 after moving from their £1.5 million house in the same village of Berkshire. The 18-acre estate consists of 7 bedrooms and 5 reception rooms. Carole and Michael moved here due to the better privacy and security this house offered.
The Middleton Family House holds great importance for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. The Duke and Duchess have spent a lot of fun moments at ‘The Manor’. All the sweet memories make The Manor a strong fort to hold.
Discovery of the Marijuana Farm
Upon calling, people from the electricity board came to solve the electricity power situation. The workers from the electricity board discovered the Marijuana Farm on the Wednesday night. They immediately brought this to the attention of the police. The police raided the area on Thursday and found an empty Cannabis factory.
A witness reported that about 6 vans collected the content inside the potential cannabis factory. The police has taken all the evidence for further investigation. The Police is investigating this case under the top priority badge. They have found some evidence that the empty and abandoned factory was previously being used as a safe space to make drugs from cannabis.
Until now, no arrests have been made and people are clueless about the owner of the factory. The police has asked the public to contact police if they have any information regarding the suspicious factory hidden in the barns. The investigating officer told the media that they are still carrying out an investigation. They are confident that they will soon get to the bottom of this matter.
As suspicious as it might sound, there is no confirmation to it. Kate Middleton is the Queen of Grace and her family is an epitome of class. The rumors about the Cannabis Factory being owned by the Middletons are circulating however, it seems nothing but a rumor. Royal family has always been subjected to such fake news every now and then. Previously rumors about Kate’s fourth pregnancy were also in the air and Kate having marital issues with Prince William also surfaced.
While the Police and CID are working hand in hand to solve the mystery of the Cannabis factory and marijuana farm right next to the Middleton Family House, people are looking forward to get their hands on the latest gossip.
