Kourtney Kardashian is following the foot steps of her sisters Kim and Kylie as she is now also stepping into entrepreneurship. The difference she is making is in bringing out a CBD product as her theme for the cannabis business.
As a start, she is on to launching her very own cannabis face serum that includes natural ingredients. The celebrity with three kids will be launching a HORA and Poosh cannabis serum with hyaluronic acid and a derma curler. She will be using her Poosh website to launch the products coming Thursday.
Kourtney guarantees that the serum with its active ingredients is highly potent and effective for the skin. It will clear out your pores, providing you with a cleaner and smoother skin.
The Kardashian posted on Instagram that she had infused hyaluronic acid that is also naturally present in the skin. The substance along with the cannabis helps in clearing out pores in the skin. The celeb has been using the natural ingredients for a year. Consequently, she has observed significant signs of improvement in her skin. The acid tends to minimize the pores and even out the tone and texture of the skin.
She has combined the ingredients in an intensive formulation to amplify its effects on the skin. Moreover, with the help of the derma roller, the ingredients sink in better within the skin.
The overall combination of the serum and the roller speeds up the transformation process.
Other brands including CBD in their skin products
Not only the Kardashian sister has lauded about the magnificent effects of cannabis on skin, but other beauty industries have also equally complimented it if not more. Brands like Kiehl’s and NYX have been using CBD in their skin care products that claims to have anti-inflammatory properties.
With these properties, there can be a good cure for skin problems such as eczema, skin irritation and acne. The CBD is an active ingredient in cannabis plant. Due to its chemical composition, it has many anti-inflammatory characteristics essential for skin.
The CBD compound, unlike the THC in cannabis, has no toxic effects on the physiological stability of an individual consuming it. With the awareness of the numerous benefits of cannabis, consumers are now using it for other sources. Topical applications of the active ingredient of the cannabis plant has become immensely popular in north America and China.
Just recently, CBD has enjoyed quite the limelight all over the world due to its profound and purposeful efficiency in solving a number of problems. We cannot ignore the reduction of problematic diagnoses of different conditions from the use of medical cannabis. The cannabis for skin care holds no exception with its amazing properties.
How much does it cost?
The serum coming from the newly business celeb gal costs a total of fifty dollars with the Derma Curler of twenty-six dollars. Kourtney has also admitted doing medication before this, just like her other sisters.
With more celebs indulging themselves into cannabis business, the emerging industry is surely to enjoy some limelight over a multitude of years.
American Heart Association Study Links Cannabis To Increased Risk of Heart Disease
Studies on the effects of cannabis on cardiac health emerged from a scientific paper by the American Heart Association (abbreviated AHA). One of these studies, released on August 12, 2020, refers to THC and CBD. Both of these are key ingredients in cannabis products.
The study finds that there is no clear positive benefit to cardiac health by these substances. A similar study to this mentions a possibly greater risk of strokes or heart attacks in consumers.
Both THC and CBD are held responsible
THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) and CBD (cannabidiol) are both major ingredients in consumable cannabis. THC is the chemical that causes the ‘high’ of the drug, which is arguably the most important aspect of its use. Cannabis is largely considered non-addictive, yet it is still frequently and routinely used.
However, in certain individuals, unmonitored use of cannabis has led to medical emergencies too. In these, hospitals have reported cases of cardiac failure and atrial fibrillation (a type of dysrhythmia).
THC, in these studies, has been linked with over-stimulation of the sympathetic nervous system. What this means is that it can trigger the body’s ‘fight or flight’ mechanism above normal limits. This could lead to anxiety, palpitations (heart skipping beats), and hyperventilation (breathing too fast). Hyperventilation can cause excessive levels of carbon monoxide in the blood, which is also harmful.
Conversely, it seems odd that CBD, on the other hand, seems to have a positive effect on the cardiovascular system. In most findings, researchers consider it responsible for lowering heart rate. Furthermore, it promotes the dilation of blood vessels and reduced blood pressure. So THC, in this case, does seem to be the bigger culprit in heart disease.
However, there is one major drawback in all of these studies. They are only related to patients that smoke cannabis and don’t cover edibles. So, consumers of cannabis-laced foods or beverages may have less to worry about.
The mode of taking the drug can have a dramatic difference in health. These latest studies all indicate that inhalation of cannabis, along with tar and smoke, may worsen effects. In such cases, this undermines both cardiovascular and lung health. These harmful substances can also lead to toxicity by carbon monoxide, and cause respiratory issues.
The studies aren’t meant to be definitive or conclusive
These studies do come from a credible source. However, even the authors and publishers warn that these are not meant to be conclusive. This is because they are based on correlation, not causation.
To put it simply, they indicate that the ingredients of cannabis can be linked to heart disease but not necessarily cause it. Robert Page, who is the author of the paper, admitted this in a recent interview. Rather than evidence they are based on incidences and events, so he called them “observational”.
More studies are needed before we decide if cannabis can be considered safe or not
“…The public needs fact-based, valid scientific information about cannabis’s effect on the heart and blood vessels,” Page claimed. He was referring to the relative lack of such conclusive studies available on the issue. Hence they should be carefully considered, though they are technically valid.
The absence of data on cases of orally ingested cannabis is another limitation of the study is, once again. Most experts already believe that smoking and vaping are quite unhealthy. This is compared to, suppose, just eating a marijuana brownie. So until then, the matter is still up in the air.
5 Non-Sedating Purple Cannabis Strains To Try In Quarantine
Purple strains are a common favorite owing to their refreshing smell and great taste, with the addition of varying potency in different strains. Additionally, their beautiful shades of purple make them aesthetically appealing. After Granddaddy Purple gained popularity, purple strains have been commonly believed as being incredibly sedative and grapey.
However, here’s the truth. Assuming something like that merely by looking at a purple flower, is pointless. Anthocyanins are the color pigments in plants, which has no links with the effects of cannabis. Here are 5 purple cannabis strains that will give you the energizing, uplifting, and stimulating effects that you are looking for.
It is important to note that highs will vary by the consumer, and this is a collection of data over the years

Candyland may be the most “mysterious” cannabis strain, with unpredictable outcomes. A cross of Bay Platinum Cookies and GDP, the genetics provide a diversity of phenotypes, with an increased variety of effects.
While you may get Candyland with the most potent relaxation, you’ll mostly get the strain with an energetic rush of energy. Understandably, this may be intimidating for beginners who haven’t gotten the hang of sativas yet. However, consumers believe that Candyland is a perfect daytime strain to start the day in the morning.
Purple Haze might remind you of a famous 1967 Jimi Hendrix song. But, it’s also a pretty famous strain that came around the same time.
Jumping to flavor, Purple Haze is a cross between Haze and Purple Thai. Hence, the sweet earthy taste that comes through from the smoke, is predictable. Focusing on the high, while it’s not sedating, it gives you a potent euphoria that tends to lead to a dreamy daze. Consumers believe that it might be one of the ideal strains for a creativity boost.
Purple Skunk has the least information in comparison to the other 4 strains. Since its a classic strain, its provided information relies purely on minute anecdotal reports and legend.
However, legend says that this strain is a cross of Skunk#1 and another old school purple strain. The effects, however, are refreshing leaving the consumer uplifted and generally happier.
In the 1970s, cannabis growers focused on the cross between sativas and indices, which brought us the hybrids we now enjoy.
